Gabriel is back home and doing well with his current therapies so far. Please see my blog for the update! big love, sAbine. November 2010 Gabriel is currently in Germany! So far he is doing well and the doctors are convinced he will make a full recovery if able to complete 10 fever therapies! We have enough to keep him there for 3 months. To complete his treatment we need to raise $15,000 more minimum (as an outpatient it is much less than we expected!), and $20,000 as a goal will help me cover rent! :) If you are sending a check, please make it out to me so I can take it to the bank. May 2010 (for those of you visiting for the first time, you can scroll down a bit to read more about what's up) Many, many thanks to everyone who helped get us to Germany last summer! We are now needing to get him back there for more treatment. He is still doing much, much better than before Germany, but has been slowly regressing since his return. Recently, he has has shown a marked advancement in his condition. Ideally, it would be best to move him over there for 10-12 months for on-going fever therapy, but realistically at this time we are hoping for at least 4 weeks of intense therapy. (If by chance you know someone who may be able to sponsor a substantial amount to make the "full deal" ($60,000) possible, please contact me so I can write them a letter.) In this attempt at another fundraising jaunt, our goal is $6000 minimum. If we don't reach it, we will seek out other options. I trust that the outcome of this is in the hands of the fates, and with each new step into the unknown, there will be new discoveries. Please keep an eye on my blog for updates! Sabine. from January, 2009: An Introduction to this site By Sabine (Gabriel's long time partner and soul mate) You may not know Gabriel (aka "Puff"), but if you do, you know how darn lovable he is... Nobody knows me like he does. He's my twin, my best friend, my beloved. He was diagnosed last year with follicular lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes--also in his bones) which is now at an advanced stage. Your donations, however large or small, will greatly assist in getting him the much needed rest and treatment that he needs. The type of lymphoma he has is not easily treated by western medicine, and we are looking into getting him to a specialized clinic in Germany. The current goal is $30,000 to make this happen.
