PLEASE DONATE WHATEVER IS COMFORTABLE FOR YOU, NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL!
| THE SECOND ROUND, Dec. 2009 Thanks to all who helped get Gabriel to Germany! He is doing quite well 2 months after his treatments. The doctor wants him to return in the spring for another round and told him not to put out too much effort so his body can rest. We are trying to reduce his work load, but are of course getting hit financially by doing so. He was able to apply for food stamps, and has an appointment to hopefully get on disability to supplement his income. We are reaching out once more to you for anything you can throw our way while we wait for the verdict on whether or not they think he qualifies (could be months). We have high hopes that the money to return to Germany will surface without too much effort in the fund raising department--I'm pooped! if you would like to send a check instead of using the donation button, our address is: Gabriel Scott & Sabine Luis 954 Geary St. #43 San Francisco, CA 94109 If this is your first visit to our site, following is our initial introduction from January, 2009: An Introduction to this site By Sabine (Gabriel's long time partner and soul mate) You may not know Gabriel (aka "Puff"), but if you do, you know how darn lovable he is... Nobody knows me like he does. He's my twin, my best friend, my beloved. He was diagnosed last year with follicular lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes--also in his bones) which is now at an advanced stage. The unknowing and fear of what could happen as a result of this illness makes my heart sink. Your donations, however large or small, will help get him the much needed rest and treatment that he needs. The type of lymphoma he has is not easily treated by western medicine, and we are looking into getting him to a specialized clinic in Germany. The current goal is $30,000 to make this happen. Checks and money orders can be sent to: Gabriel Scott or Sabine Luis 954 Geary St. #43 San Francisco, CA 94109 We realize that this is a tough time for many people financially, but even a couple of dollars and forwarding this on to a few friends could very well make saving his life possible. Gabriel and I will be blogging and updating the resource page to keep you all abreast. We have learned a great deal through this experience so far, especially in the holistic realm. Perhaps, some of it will be helpful to you or your loved ones who are dealing with cancer as well. If you have nothing to spare, we dearly appreciate every single one of your happy thoughts, imaginings, love bubbles, and prayers...they are as good as gold. xo, Sabine. |
